A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a recent burglary occurring at the Spring Garden General Store.
According to a news release just issued by Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 13th, deputies and Piedmont Police Officers responded to an alarm at the store and when they arrived, found that someone had used a gun, to “shoot” the front door open.
It was determined that nothing was actually missing from the store, and a suspect was soon identified by law enforcement.
The suspect, a juvenile, was taken into custody Tuesday of this week (March 22nd) and was charged with the burglary.
Deputies then transported the juvenile to the Coosa Valley Detention Center.
