We had reports of what was at first being referred to as a “single vehicle rollover” in Centre just before 6:00am Wednesday.

After arriving at the location, we spoke with Centre Mayor Tony Wilkie who was already on the scene; a car left the roadway on the Chesnut Bypass then traveled into the parking lot of OK Tire and crashed into the rear of a garbage truck; incredibly the car delivered a glancing blow to the garbage truck and tilted, rather than smashing into the huge truck head-on.

Details remain sketchy – however there was at least one person reportedly treated for what appeared to be only minor injuries.
