Floyd County Police arrested 56 year-old homeless man Preston Wayne Dougherty over the weekend after allegedly spotting him trying to break into a car.
Reports said that they saw him attempt to get into a car on Chulio Road Saturday evening.
He allegedly resisted officers and during that struggle, hit them, resulting in a misdemeanor charge of battery and two felony counts of obstruction of a law enforcement official.
