Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg firefighters, were dispatched to the scene of a kitchen fire, at a residence on North Watson Drive Thursday afternoon just after 5:00.
The rapid response of firefighters resulted in that fire quickly being extinguished, with very minor damage being done to the residence.
The homeowner was able to safely exit the home.
