According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators arrested 11 individuals Thursday in the Spring Garden area.  Eight suspects were arrested at a residence on County Road 753 near U.S. Highway 278.  Investigators seized methamphetamine, marijuana, synthetic drugs, and multiple firearms from the residence.  Three of the individuals were arrested for similar charges upon arriving at the residence.

Billy Ray Cole, 28, of Hokes Bluff was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.  James Kyle Clark, 38, of Cedartown, Georgia, was charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, carrying a pistol without a permit, and possession of a pistol by a felon.  Christina Nicole Broom, 36, of Cedartown, Georgia, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana. 

William Ralph Goss, 48, Carissa Lynn Hanvey, 27, Josie Lee Fuller, 20, Teresa Fuller, 44, James David Haynes, 41, and Kristen N. Devoe, 20, all of Piedmont addresses, Chad William Goss, age 26, of Anniston and Alicia Ann Ogle, 21, of Oxford were all charged with various drug offenses including unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. 

Sheriff Shaver commended investigators on this case for removing these drugs and especially the illegally possessed firearms from our community.

Officers from Centre and Piedmont Police departments also assisted Sheriff’s Office investigators in the arrests.  Deputies transported all 11 suspects to the Cherokee County Detention Center where they await bond.
