A Monday night house fire in East Gadsden is being investigated as a case or arson.
The fire took place at 913 Maryland Avenue around 10:00pm, and it took firefighters about two hours to bring the blaze under control.
A week earlier to the day, firefighters were dispatched to the same home on a fire call.
At that time, the family was home but managed to exit the structure safely.
During the most recent fire no one was living at the home and as a matter of fact, the power to the location had been cut off.
Authorities say the first fire gutted the home, making it a loss and the second fire destroyed part of the roof and several other rooms.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
