A 20 year old woman died in a traffic crash Monday night in Ft. Payne, the accident occurred at around 7:20 PM in the 900 block of Glenn Boulevard Southwest.
Police investigators say a Jeep Wrangler rear-ended a logging truck that was parked. A passenger in the Jeep, 20 year old Kimberly Michelle Beattie of Scottsboro, was killed in the crash.
The driver, 23 year old Deanna M. Betz of Fort Payne, was treated for minor injuries and then charged for DUI at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured.
