A two vehicle accident in downtown Centre on Monday left a portion of West Main Street congested for a short period of time.

Emergency crews were called to the scene between the Grub Mart and Sonic just before 4:00 p.m. after a 911 call reporting the accident.

Two of the victims were transported to Cherokee Medical Center complaining of shoulder pain, the other driver was examined by paramedics at the scene and both vehicles, which were still drive-able were moved to a near by parking lot in order to keep traffic moving.

Centre Police and Firefighters, Cherokee EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad were dispatched to the scene.
