A Cherokee County man has been arrested on drug charges in Rome, Georgia.
According to police reports – 38 year old Jeffery Owen Nichols of Centre was arrested at the intersection of Oakwood Street and Martha Berry Boulevard, after allegedly dropping a bag containing suspected methamphetamine – which he said was his.
Nichols was subsequently charged with possession of meth with bond being set at $5,700.
