A 46 year old Pell City woman who reportedly moved to Florida in order to reside with her boyfriend a year ago – has now been reported missing.
According to Jacksonville Police, Kerry Jones was last seen Sunday evening, February 7th in the area of Mandarin Road. Jones, who wears hearing aids and is legally deaf can speak and communicate; she is five feet tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
News outlet First Coast News reported that she moved to Jacksonville last fall after meeting Nick Kelly on-line; on the day she went missing, a co-worker called Kelly to say that she had not arrived at work and at that point, he filed a missing person’s report.
He reportedly told police that he and Jones had argued prior to her leaving home that day.
Her car was found two days later, on the 9th, at her workplace on San Jose Boulevard.
Police released a statement Friday saying that the vehicle was seen entering the parking lot on the 7th at 6:48pm and roughly five minutes later an unidentified person was seen riding away on a bicycle.
