A 20 year old man sustained injuries after falling approximately 25 feet from Cherokee Rock Village on Saturday morning.
Initially, Cherokee EMS Units requested a Medical Air Unit to transport the victim however the helicopter was cancelled while in flight.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries and went right back to rock climbing, the Sand Rock Fire Department, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and several law enforcement officers also responded to the scene.
The name of the victim was not immediately made available and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time, we’ll have additional details as information is available.
