Some additional information has now released regarding that fatal accident which occurred Friday (February 12th) morning on I-20 in Calhoun County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that crash took place at 5:40am approximately two miles east of Oxford – when the 2015 Ford F-250 collided with a 2006 Freightliner being driven by 59 year old Charlie Junior Simmons of South Carolina.

Upon impact the Ford F-250 caught fire. The identity of that victim is still being withheld at this time.

That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
