Gadsden Woman Faces Chemical Endangerment Charges For Using Heroin While Pregnant

TarraLynnBarronA Gadsden woman faces multiple charges, including chemical endangerment of an unborn child, following her arrest last week.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said 24 year old Tarra Lynn Barron was arrested last Monday and is being held on $25,000 cash bond in the Etowah County Detention Center.

Barron has been charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed. Entrekin said Barron admitted to illegally using heroin while pregnant.

She is also facing charges of drug possession and drug distribution from the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit.

As a condition of her bond, Barron must complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections.
