A single vehicle crash in DeKalb County claimed the life of a 28 year old Boaz man just after midnight Tuesday.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, that wreck occurred at 12:30am on County Road 1 and involved a 2004 GMC Sierra, driven by Preston Cole Lovell.
The vehicle reportedly left the roadway struck an embankment and overturned, with Lovell being ejected; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report noted that Lovell was not wearing his seat belt.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
