A man was air-lifted from Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, after falling around 15 to 20 feet on Monday afternoon.
Gadsden Fire Chief Stephen Carroll said that accident occurred near the park’s cabins when a man surveying the property fell down an embankment – suffering a head injury as a result of landing on the rocks below.
Carroll said although the man hit his head, he was alert and speaking with rescue personnel at the scene; rescue workers extricated the man from the gorge by lowering a rescue basket by rope and lifting the man out.
