Sunday turned out to be a good day for some – and a not so good day for others.
Calhoun County law enforcement initiated a traffic stop that morning which quickly turned into a major drug bust.
A deputy was responding to a domestic violence report in Alexandria – when he pulled over a vehicle described by the victim, in the area of Post Oak Road.
Once stopped, the sole occupant of the vehicle bailed out and ran, but was quickly caught.
During a search of the vehicle authorities found more than 620 grams of cocaine along with around $13,000 in cash.
And that wasn’t all they found. The driver had bailed out leaving a small child in the vehicle
Additional information will be released later.
