According to information released by Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Centre resident – 54 year old Jeffery Lee Jordon has been arrested on two counts of Sodomy 1st Degree. The charges against Jordon stem from an investigation into the abuse of a child, which allegedly took place several years ago.
That case is currently under investigation and as a result no additional information is being released at this time.
Jordan is currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting bond.
