Man Charged with Trafficking Synthetic Drugs

Williams TraffickingAccording to law enforcement officials in Etowah County an anonymous tip last week led to the arrest of a 24 year old Gadsden man on drug charges; according to Sergeant Phil Sims of the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Jerbory Lajuan Williams was taken into custody at a Chestnut Street address.

A search of that residence turned up 107 packs of synthetic marijuana in addition to a 9mm handgun.

Authorities say the packs, approximately ten grams each, are normally sold for about $100.

Williams is currently being held without bond in the Etowah County Detention Center, after being charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs. Williams, who was already on probation for theft and burglary charges, was additionally charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Gun.
