Two Jet Skis Stolen in Cherokee County Recovered in Georgia

Two jet skis stolen in Cherokee County, were recovered by authorities in Chattooga County, Georgia, earlier in the week.

Shortly before 9:30 Monday morning, Chattooga County law enforcement responded to the area of Bandy Dairy Road off Highway 27 in regard to a report of two jet skis being found in the roadway.

It was confirmed by Chattooga 9-1-1 that those items had been reported stolen from across the state line.

WEIS Radio spoke with Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, and Investigator Tony Monroy, and they told us those jet skis had been stolen around two months ago in the Cornwall area – adding that the rightful owners have been contacted, and have made arrangements to pick the jet skis up.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the case.
