A Gadsden man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 411 in Cherokee County Wednesday evening.

According to that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report – 68 year old Sherman Bearden was injured when his 1997 Toyota was involved in a wreck with a 1998 Kenworth being driven by 45 year old William Boney of Van Cleave, Mississippi.

That accident took place shortly after 6:30pm, approximately three miles east of Leesburg.

Boney was unhurt – and no additional information was immediately available regarding the extent of Bearden’s injuries; Bearden was wearing his seatbelt at the time.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
