More charges for a woman accused of scamming elderly people out of money with a false hardship story.
53-year old Theresa Lynne Duffey, of a West Big Indian Trail address, is accused of obtaining $600 from a 74-year old victim by deceitful means.
She is facing additional counts of exploitation of the elderly and theft by deception.
On Wednesday, Duffey and 69-year old Nancy Kay Bennett were charged with obtaining $350 from other elderly victims by telling false story about their son being killed in Florida.
They allegedly told the victims they needed money for travel and meals so they could pay their last respects.
The women then used the donated money to purchase narcotics, according to the report.
