Mr. Odis Hamilton,age 81 of Gaylesville, passed away Thursday, November 5th at Cherokee Health & Rehab.
Funeral services will be 1:PM Sunday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Ferguson officiating; burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Boaz. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8:PM Saturday.
Pallbearers include Edward Hamilton, Jackie Hamilton, Jerrell Hamilton, Darron Hamilton, Nathan Hamilton, Johnathan Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Survivors include sons, Edward (Lisa) Hamilton of Gaylesville, Jackie Hamilton of Albertville, Jerrell (Tina) Hamilton of Gadsden, Darron (Debra) Hamilton of Gaylesville, Nathan (Marsha) Hamilton of Geraldine; daughters, Helen (Randy) McDaniel of Cedar Bluff, Faye (Charles) Jones of Albertville, Judy (Kenneth) Jones of Albertville, LaDonna Andrews of Albertville, Kimberly (Jim) Jones of Collinsville; brother, Huey Hamilton of Birmingham; 36 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Stanford Hamilton; sons, Dennis and Shirlon Hamilton; daughter, Laura Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Emmitt Jackson and Mary Ellie Chaney Hamilton, was a farmer and was of the Holiness faith.
