A Collinsville woman was injured in a Monday evening accident in Cherokee County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck took place at 6:30pm just north of Sand Rock and involved a 2007 Pontiac being driven by Tammy Jones.

Both she, and a five year old child in the vehicle, were listed as being hurt on that report but no additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was noted.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
