The Leesburg Police Dept along with the assistance of Centre Police Dept and Cedar Bluff Police Dept conducted a search warrant in the Sand Rock Community on Saturday.
43 year old Kenley N Fox of Sand Rock was arrested and charged with a list of charges including two counts of the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Manufacturing of Controlled Substance and Trafficking Amphetamines.
There were also several marijuana plants over 8 foot tall seized.
Investigators from all agencies involved worked tirelessly on getting these harmful drugs off the street of Cherokee County.
Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum commended Officers Joe Johnson and Hennae McGinnis for being able to work with neighboring Centre Officers Matt Peek and Will Clark.
Chief Ransum said that the partnerships between the cities in Cherokee county is a vital part of effective law enforcement we provide for citizens, saying “there is no room for politics in getting these drugs and drug offenders off the street”.
