Piedmont Man Indicted on Four Counts of Child Sexual Abuse

Miller Sex Abuse 2A 68 year old Piedmont man, has been indicted by a grand jury, on four counts of the Sexual Abuse of a Child less than 12 Years of Age.

Steven Arnold Miller was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly before 5:00pm Tuesday (October 13th, 2015), and he was released just prior to 8:30, after making his $100,000 bond.

According to information contained in a previous news release Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, stated that Miller was arrested on the evening of September 8th, by Investigators in the Cherokee County Major Crimes Unit.

Sheriff Shaver told WEIS Radio News that the charges against Miller, had stemmed from the investigation into the abuse of a child, which allegedly began several years ago – adding that the investigation was on-going and additional charges could be forthcoming.

At that time, Miller was facing ten counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
