Cedar Bluff Police Arrest A Georgia Pair For Public Intoxication Following Single Vehicle Crash On Saturday

Parris.WallinA Summerville, Georgia man was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication by Cedar Bluff Police over the weekend after he crashed his 2001 Ford F-150 on Highway 9 near the intersection of Deere Run Lane.

According to Cedar Bluff Police reports, 31 year old Charles Robert Parris was traveling west on Highway 9 when he lost control of the pickup truck running off of the roadway and down a small embankment finally coming to rest in a ditch.

As Cedar Bluff Police arrived on the scene a passerby had already pulled Parris’s vehicle from the ditch and back onto the highway.

Parris admitted to officers that he had been drinking and after failing sobriety test was placed under arrest by Officer’s Chris Vaughn and Seth Hood.

Parris was booked in to the Cherokee County Detention Center just before 9:30 Saturday night before being released just after 11:30 Sunday morning after posting bond of $500.

A passenger in the vehicle, 31 year old Brandon Chase Wallin of Lafayette, Georgia was also arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and later released after posting a $500 bond.

No other vehicles were involved in the mishap and no injuries were reported.
