Alabama State Troopers Work Two Separate Single Vehicle Wrecks in Cherokee County on Sunday

Alabama State Troopers worked two separate, single vehicle accidents involving injuries, in Cherokee County on Sunday.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports, the first wreck took place at 3:00am on Highway 278, approximately one mile east of Piedmont – and involved a 1996 Jeep being driven by 42 year old Mindy Cook of Cedartown, Georgia.

Cook was listed on the report as being injured in the crash, although no additional information was available other than she was wearing her seatbelt.

The second accident involved a 2007 Peterbilt being driven by a 58 year old Texas resident, Dennis Stanford; reports indicated that he received injuries in that mishap on Highway 9, at 12:30pm.

Both accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
