Two Georgia Residents Injured in Cherokee County Accident on Saturday

Two Georgia residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Cherokee County, Saturday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck took place at 2:25pm on Highway 9 four miles north of Cedar Bluff and involved a 2011 Nissan driven by 55 year old Oakwood, Georgia resident Patty Dixon; both she and a passenger in the vehicle Janet Galley of Gainesville, Georgia were listed as receiving injuries in the mishap.

The other driver, 67 year old Cynthia Armstrong of a Glencoe address, driving a 2007 Ford, was unhurt.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
