Cherokee County authorities arrested two individuals on drug charges Tuesday.

Dynisha Renea McKnight, age 24 of Centre and James Leon Smith, age 39 of Rome, Georgia – were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Smith was additionally charged with Failure to Appear on the prior charges of – Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and Driving with No License.

Both were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center around 7:00pm Tuesday and are currently awaiting setting of bond.
