Two More Arrested in Connection with Gaylesville Area Home Invasion

Invasion 3According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the Cherokee County Major Crimes Unit has charged a pair in connection with a home invasion occurring in Gaylesville back in July.

The victim in the case was assaulted and had to be treated for injuries sustained during the attack; she also had a number of items stolen in the incident.

24 year old Jeffery L. Epps of Gaylesville and 27 year old Brandie N. Webb of a Fyffe address were arrested on the night the incident occurred and have each been charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 2nd Degree.

Just hours after that crime occurred, two other individuals involved fled to New York; when investigators learned of their whereabouts the U.S. Marshal Service was contacted and they were captured and transported back to Cherokee County on Wednesday of this week.

34 year old Courtney D. Steele of Cedar Bluff and 41 year old Scott D. Miller of Ft Payne are facing charges of Robbery 1st Degree.

Epps remains lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center – meanwhile, Webb is out on bond awaiting trial.
