There was a single-vehicle accident on County Road 19 in the Tenalla community, just prior to 1:30 Monday afternoon.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the driver of the Chevy Equinox, 51 year old Tina Parker from Centre, ran off the road and struck a large drain pipe before coming to rest in a small creek.
Parker told WEIS Radio News that she was okay, with the exception of a few minor cuts and bruises; she was however, officially listed on that accident report as having been hurt in the mishap.
Those responding to the scene included – the Mt. Weisner Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Alabama State Troopers.
