A Cherokee County woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck occurring on County Road 29 south of 411, at approximately 7:50am Thursday.

According to reports an Alabama State Trooper on patrol came upon the scene of the wreck and notified other emergency personnel.

The driver of the 2009 Saturn, listed on the report as 54 year old Myrna Holcomb of Centre, had to be extricated from the vehicle by members of the McCords Fire Department.

No additional information regarding the extent of her injuries was noted.

That accident remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
