A pedestrian was severely injured after being hit by a car as he was walking down Highway 411 just after 8:00 Thursday night.
According to the Centre Police Department incident report 37 year old Scottie Abernathy of Leesburg, was hit by a 76 year old Collinsville resident – who was driving a 1999 Crown Vic – near the intersection of Highway 411 and County Road 7 in Leesburg.
Abernathy was taken by ambulance to a landing zone at Cedar Bluff High School – where he was taken by Life Force helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment
