Fortunately both drivers escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident occurring just after 10:30 on Friday morning, involving a Ford Ranger pickup and an 18 wheeler.
That collision took place at the red light in front of Wal-Mart, causing serious damage to the pickup.
We spoke with the driver of the Ford Ranger, who said that he was okay with the exception of slight burns to his hands, suffered when the airbag deployed.
He also mentioned that he’d just gotten an estimate to repair the pickup, after hitting a deer last week. When it rains, it pours.
