Months of hard work has paid off for the Town of Leesburg and for anglers across the area, as the Big Cat Quest Fishing Tournament comes to Cherokee County this Saturday:
That’s Leesburg Mayor Ed Mackey.
He and many others in Leesburg, along with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Cherokee County Commission as well as other local community leaders – have been working toward landing this high-profile tournament for some time:
There will also be a number of activities taking place at the pavilion throughout the day; an array of vendors will have something for everyone.
Mayor Mackey has been extremely proactive in regard to bringing visitors into the county – making major upgrades to local facilities in order to entice anglers, and all those who enjoy the great outdoors, to pay a visit – which results in a big boost to the local economy making it a win-win situation for all involved:
