Rome police have charged a woman in connection with an armed robbery taking place on Tuesday evening.
According to a Floyd County Jail report, 30 year old Crystal Renee Boswell – and a man she told police she didn’t know – used a hand gun to rob a man of $560 in cash.
The robbery happened at a Floyd County motel.
The victim told police there was a knock at his door and the pair pushed their way inside – with the male subject striking him in the face with the pistol before taking the money.
Police said Boswell changed her story several times, finally telling officers the incident was a set up, explaining that both she and the other suspect had been dropped off by two other people, and they then walked to the location to rob the victim.
Boswell is charged with armed robbery and obstruction.
No other arrests have yet been made in connection with the robbery.
