Members of the Northwest Georgia Bomb Squad were called to Movies at Mt Berry Square shortly after midnight Sunday after receiving reports of a suspicious package left behind by a moviegoer

According to a Rome Police Department report, the assistant manager at the theatre stated that a couple approached her, and told her about a person who had been watching a movie in theater nine and was, in their words, “acting strangely”; they said when the movie ended the man placed his backpack down on the chair and ran out of the theater.

Police called the Bomb Squad and it was soon discovered that the backpack contained art supplies.
