Emergency crews were kept busy on Saturday afternoon responding to three motor vehicle accidents across Cherokee County.
Leesburg Police were called to respond to a two vehicle accident on Highway 68 near Highway 273 just after 3:00 – fortunately there were no injuries reported.
Then just before 4:00 Centre Police were dispatched to a report of a possible drunk driver on Highway 9 South near the airport, before officers could arrive in the area 9-1-1 received a call that the vehicle had overturned just north of the airport.
Ellisville Firefighters, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies and Alabama State Troopers responded to that scene.
Shortly after 4:00 officers were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at 430 County Road 106 in Leesburg – fortunately there were no injuries reported in that mishap.
