Centre Woman Hurt in Highway 68 Wreck Wednesday Afternoon

A Cherokee County woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 68 Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, that accident involved a 2015 Honda being driven by 16 year old Sand Rock resident Abby Stimpson – and a 2000 Dodge driven by 22 year old Bradley Bell of Centre.

Both Stimpson and Bell were unhurt – however a passenger in the Bell vehicle, 22 year old Margie Hands, was listed on the report as being injured in the mishap; it was noted that she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

That wreck, which took place at 4:30pm about one mile south of Collinsville remains under investigation by state troopers.
