The month of June is still relatively young but the Leesburg Police Department has already made a series of drug arrests in that short period of time.
According to the information in a news release from Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum the arrests thus far include Andrea Guyton, age 25 of Gadsden, on an Alias Warrant; Bobby Clayton, 28 of Gadsden, on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in addition to Chemical Endangerment of a Child; Justin Williams of Gadsden, age 27 – on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Chemical Endangerment of a Child; 24 year old Centre resident, Robin Fuqua, on charges of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and 19 year old Tyler Hardin of Sand Rock on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Chief Ransum also wishes to commend Officer Joe Johnson for his work with surrounding agencies in combating the drug problem in Cherokee County.
