One person was air-lifted to Huntsville for treatment following a single-vehicle accident on Highway 411 near Slackland Church Friday morning. A landing zone was set up at the FEMA Building in Leesburg.
There were three occupants in the vehicle, with one of the two remaining individuals being treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Leesburg Police Department, Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad – and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
