A single vehicle accident in Cherokee County, sent a DeKalb County woman to the hospital on Monday afternoon.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck occurred on County Road 15 at 5:30pm involving a 2005 Nissan driven by 31 year old Ft Payne resident Kelli Stephens; the report didn’t note the extent of Stephens’ injuries or indicate where she was taken for treatment, however it was written into the report that she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers
