A single vehicle accident claimed the life of a Silver Creek, Georgia man on Sunday morning.
According to Floyd County Police Department reports, 19 year old Samuel Pointer, driving a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway just after 7:30 that morning on Highway 411 near Woodlawn Baptist Church.
According to the report, the truck flipped at least three times; following the wreck Pointer was alert at the scene, but died just before noon from injuries sustained in the crash.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
