Cherokee County authorities arrested three individuals on drug charges Thursday.
According to information in a News Release from Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Deputy Michael Green conducted a traffic stop in the Slackland area, and one of the occupants of the vehicle bailed out and then ran into a nearby wooded area; other deputies arrived on the scene to assist and the suspect was quickly taken into custody.
That person and two people remaining in the vehicle were placed under arrest at the scene.
Trevin DeCarlos Marbury, age 18 of Gadsden – was charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest and Attempting to Elude;
Jeremy Antonio Bledsoe, age 19 of Gadsden and Krystle Ann Hawkins, age 26 of Hokes Bluff – were each charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Marbury was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center at around 4:00pm, while Bledsoe was booked in at 4:30 and Hawkins was booked in at 6:00pm.
All three remain behind bars awaiting setting of bond.
