Services for Hugh McCord, 92, of Piedmont will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram offciating.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 67 1/2 years, Lois McCord of Piedmont; one son, Keith McCord of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Lindsey Haygood (Mark) of Piedmont and Lauryn Richardson (Daniel) of Centre; 3 great grandchildren, Taylor and Trace Shubert and Aubrey Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McCord was a lifelong resident of Piedmont. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont and a member of the men’s Bible study class. He was retired from SCT Yarn and was a US Army WWII veteran. Mr. McCord was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

The family request no flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church of Piedmont, Piedmont Rescue Squad, or a favorite charity.
