Cherokee County authorities arrested three individuals on drug charges Tuesday.

Johnny Ray Washington, age 58 of Centre charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

William Cody Shankles, 30 of Centre – charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jerry Lynn Martin, 49 of Weaver was charged with Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Washington was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center at 11:30pm, where he remains awaiting setting of bond; Shankles was booked in at 12:29pm and bonded out just prior to 2:00pm; and Martin was booked into jail at 5:30pm, making bond just before 10:00 that night.
