A Georgia woman has been arrested in Cherokee County, and is currently facing a variety of charges, including Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On Friday 36 year old Alesha Dawn DeYoung of a Calhoun Georgia address was pulled over for a traffic violation in Centre by Deputy Jeremy Steppes.
It was quickly learned she had given a false name to the officer – which resulted in a charge of Using a False Identity to Obstruct Justice.
DeYoung was also hit with the drug charge, as well as a charge of Chemical Endangerment of a Child – after juveniles in the vehicle gave the deputy drugs that DeYoung had allegedly given them to hide. She was taken into custody at the scene – and currently remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
