From WRGA News Reports|

A state health official says there is no risk of Ebola. Other patients at the clnic have been released.

According to a statement from Gordon Hospital an adult patient presented at one of Gordon Hospital’s physician practices answered the standard Centers for Disease Control Ebola screening questionnaire positively suggesting that the patient may have been exposed to the Ebola virus.

The staff per hospital and public health protocol immediately isolated the patient, and closed the clinic.

The Ebola Preparedness plan was put into motion. The Georgia Department of Public Health was notified per state protocol. The Georgia Department of Public Health in conjunction with the Centers for Disease control and Gordon Hospital’s physician staff are determining whether the patient is at risk for the Ebola virus.

As per protocol, the clinic has been temporarily closed and patients who may have had contact have been asked to remain at the clinic until further direction from the Georgia Department of Public Health as per hospital and Georgia Public Health protocol.

The hospital and clinics were trained per Public Health protocol and are responding according to that protocol to care for our patients, our employees and our community.
