A truck driver traveling Highway 68 between Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville narrowly avoided what could’ve been a serious accident just before 9:30 Tuesday morning.
The driver told WEIS Radio News that he saw a vehicle stopped in the road and managed to avoid a collision by running off the soft shoulder on the right-hand side of the roadway, and he then barely managed to bring the truck to a stop without rolling down the embankment.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the mishap, and no other vehicles were involved.
