Law enforcement is now on the scene of what is being referred to as a “hostage situation” on Ford Valley Road.
Etowah County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Natalie Barton told al.com that at this point it appears that a female is being held in the home; the area has been sealed off, and members of the county’s tactical squad have been activated.
Authorities responded to the location due to a report of a domestic violence incident, reportedly just after 9:00am
